E2E Research Process

The End-To-End Research Process defines the various stages within the Action Research Methods. As research practitioners we need to ensure that there are proper processes in place before starting at research study. Please spend some time in reviewing the process workflows. Also share your feedback and suggestions.

Process Overview

Drill-Down on Process Workflows

Research Problem

In the Research Problem stage, the researcher will address the research topic, problem of practice (PoP) using the 5 Whys method, research questions, and theoretical perspectives including the theories.

Data Analysis

Within the Data Analysis & Interpretation stage, the researcher primarily deals with data analysis methods such descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, comparative analysis, and thematic analysis.

Research Design

Inside the Research Design stage, the research focuses on instruments/protocols, literature review, research methods, benefits of the research, and potential interventions or innovations.

Research Write-up

The Research Write-up stage allows the researcher to start the discussion, identify major findings, state limitations of the study, future research, conclusions and implications for the research.

Data Collection

The Data Collection stage allows the researcher to concentrate on the research plan, variables identification, define the measurement scales, and select from quantitative, qualitative or both dataset methods.

Dissemination

The Dissemination stage is where a researcher will get the opportunity to share his/her research results. Sharing such as conference reports, newsletters, executive reporting, and journals.

Supporting Resources

Starting a research study requires the research practitioner to gather the relevant materials to support his/her research journey. There are multiple stages to executing a research study and having a defined process helps to accelerate and create consistency along the way.

Supplemental Materials
